Lorena Tiberi

Lorena Tiberi is a young aspiring Italian artist. She has recently graduate from Liceo Artistico "Via di Ripetta" in Rome in 2016. Tiberi discovered her passion for art only a few years ago. As she felt so strongly to express her deepest and most personal feelings, she decided to change to art school. In 2015, she went on an international voluntary experience in Portugal concerning the requalification of abandoned artworks and the re-evaluation of terracotta; with which, she has taken much of her inspiration from and eventually received first prize at the Teofilo Patini Prize in 2015. Tiberi has also participated in various group exhibitions alongside her peers.

Tiberi built her own artistic world upon her strong knowledge of history of ancient and modern art. She seeks suggestions and insights from the predecessors to gain a better understanding for the contemporary. In her work, Tiberi overlaps colours in waves to break the process of a uniformed impression by the observer, using suggestive subjects to evoke her viewers to attribute their own meanings to the work.
