Martina Munse

Martina Munse was born in Leipzig in 1977. Throughout her studies at the local Academy of Visual Arts, she went on several excursions to Russia and Italy, which appeared to be inspirational. Since 2000, she has been an assistant to Prof. S. Gille and has participated in many exhibitions, apart from Leipzig, also in Berlin, Frankfurt, and Sofia. She has also participated in an international art exchange by “Christie’s”.

Martina Munse’s art provokes the senses in its unique display of beauty. The essence of her paintings, which reflects a resemblance of aesthetic symbolism, can be found in the deep bond between the Orient and the Occident and is an interpretation of the unabating theme of freedom. The tender and archetypal motives in her art inspire associations with the style Art Nouveau.
