Sergio Tarantino

Sergio Tarantino

Sergio Tarantino is a multidisciplinary artist. Born in Italy directly following World War II, his formative years are built around the brilliant sunrises and exploding sunsets visible from the 7000 year old Alpine settlement/city of Ariano Irpino. Tarantino has traveled extensively: the forests and lakes of Canada, the streets of New York, the beaches of California, the alleys of Shanghai, the cliffs of the Amalfi Coast and the salons of Naples are, among others, his homes. His work with imagery displays these saturated trans-cultural and internalized surroundings. Following seven years in China, Tarantino returns to FELLINI Gallery, now in Berlin, to exhibit LUX TOYS. For this exhibition, Tarantino displays a deep-set focus on markers and milestones of his real and imaginary travels. The series takes the viewer through the eyes of the artist, on his constant journey of submersion in global culture, nature and expression.
