The reason why I chose shoes as the theme of my weaving this timeis that I see shoes themselves not as lifeless objects, but as symbolicthings that contain various thoughts and feelings of human beings. There are many children's stories about shoes, some fantastical, some spellbinding, and all rich in suggestions for life.

Shoes have always been placed on the ground, but now they areconfronted again on a desk or a loom. I feel as if a new life, a newstory, is born in the shoes.Binding weave is a plain weave with the same pattern on the frontand back. This time, I wanted to leave some of the end threads of thepattern that appear as the weave back and forth, and make thedifference in texture between the front and back interesting.
