Klaus Mollenhauer

Klaus Mollenhauer was born in 1956 in Dusseldorf. From 1979 to 1985 he studied painting at the Academy of Arts in Berlin. In 1984 he was appointed master student of Prof. Karl Oppermann. Since finishing his studies, he lives and works as a freelance artist in Berlin. Numerous solo and group exhibitions impressively demonstrate the consequence of his artistic development.

Klaus Mollenhauers works move the tension between abstraction and realism. His rheinländisches temperament shapes the warm tonality of the images. He describes himself as a romantic and expresses this in its choice of motifs expressed. (Imaginary) portraits and (mysterious) places include them.
