Friedrich Heuss

Friedrich Heuss (born in 1948) is a German-Austrian artist who lives and works in Vienna. The predominantly figurative painter has had previous exhibitions in New York and will present a selection of his paintings in Berlin for the first time. Critics like to see Heuss as a sort of heir to "romantic irony", whereby he approaches this complex subject with modern artistic modes of expression, such as light boxes, 3-D animated movies, text bubbles, and specially manufactured wooden plates.
