Fernando Arias van Oordt

As son of ex-pat Dutch/Spanish parents, Fernando Arias Van Oordt travelled extensively throughout the world as a child. It was while in Sophia, Bulgaria in 2006 that Van Oordt’s interest in the arts grew. Soon after finishing his studies at the Design Academy in Eindhoven, he joined forces with Spanish Designer Nacho Carbonell and established “Kunst Zonder Kapsones” (Eindhoven, 2007), a temporary gallery exhibiting contemporary Eastern European art to the Dutch public. Fernando works primarily with metal casted zinc in the form of design and sculpture. The quality of the zinc adds character, shine and a warmer touch compared to other metals, and does not deteriorate with time.
