Lola del Fresno

Lola del Fresno completed her fine art studies in Spain, Portugal and New York and for the last six years has been working under sponsorship from the collector Andrew Weissman.  Working on paper laid over canvas and mounted on wooden frames, she uses acrylic, graphite, inks and resin to create images.  Her artworks are composed of life-sized abstract figures inspired by the Renaissance. In her humanistic approach she often chooses nakedness to avoid any social reference and as a method of magnifying her subjects’ existence. Her artworks are unconventional pieces that confront the viewer with the experience of the inner self.
