A Portrait of Memory

Our minds are dotted with memories. Some memories fade, become clear, disappear, or are replaced by memories more evident as time goes by.

Amid the numerous memories, I feel my way touching those dots that belong to my childhood. Some memories make me doleful and feel suffocated when recalling them. I call memories that are still remembered vividly after time passed an event. The event is depicted based on a sense of smell and touch, sentiment, and images in memory.

In the process of drawing, my strong sentiment about memories gradually wanes, becoming one of the forgotten things in the end. In other words, my work has a function of recording, inducing the act of drawing to conclude the event.
