Laddie John Dill

Laddie John Dill, a Los Angeles native, was born in Long Beach and graduated from Chouinard Art institute in 1968. At age 28, Dill had his first solo exhibit at the lleana Sonnabend gallery in New York. Since then, Dill has exhibited at galleries and museums in Paris, Helsinki, New York, Seattle, throughout California, Seoul and around Japan. He is the recipient of two National Endowment grants - for sculpture and painting; and a Guggenheim fellowship for painting. He has also taught extensively at UCLA, UC Irvine, and Art Center in Pasadena; and lectured in various universities and art institutions across the United States.
